The Marine Environmental Research Institute (MERI) announces the start of theFall 2005 Ocean Video Night series on Friday, October 28 at the MERI Center for Marine Studies in downtown Blue Hill.  Ocean Video Nighttakes place on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

The Winter 2006Ocean Video Night series is entitled “Blue Planet: Seas of Life,” an award-winning Discovery Channel/BBC production narrated by British actor David Attenborough.  The series was filmed over five years and in more than 200 locations.

January 20:  Ocean World

January 27:  Frozen Seas

February 3:  Open Ocean

February 10:  The Deep

February 17:  Seasonal Seas

February 24:  Coral Seas

March 3:  Tidal Seas

March 10:  Coasts

Each Friday night’s presentation runs approximately one hour, and popcorn is provided.  A small donation is requested to cover the MERI Center’s costs.  For more information about Ocean Video Night, call the MERI Education Department at 374-2135.
