MERI is dedicated to scientific research and education on the impacts of pollution on marine life and human health, and to protecting the health and biodiversity of the marine environment for future generations.

 

To promote stewardship of our coastal resources for future generations, MERI's Ocean Aquarium is designed for children of all ages to increase a shared knowledge and appreciation for marine life.

 

Are our coastal waters healthy? MERI’s Blue Hill Bay Monitoring Project is measuring water quality, bacteria, and nutrients at 44 freshwater and marine sites.

 

 

MERI’s landmark long-term research program Seals As Sentinels has documented hundreds of man-made toxic chemicals in tissues of seals and commercially important marine fishes along the northwest Atlantic coast from Canada to New York.

 

Explore, discover, and learn more about seals, eagles, and other wildlife of Blue Hill Bay  on an Eco-Cruise led by MERI naturalists six days a week during the summer.
