Cruise the waters of Blue Hill bay aboard our 11-passenger downeast-style lobster boat. Boat trips for families, adults, and children are offered from July 5th through August 17th.

Bay Eco-Cruise
For Adults and Families
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3-5 pm
Enjoy the beautiful Maine coast with a MERI naturalist onboard. Participants will pull lobster traps and observe local wildlife. Common
sightings include seals, seabirds, bald eagles and porpoises. For adults and families (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult), $40 for adults, $20 for children 15 and under.
Coastal Monitoring Excursion
For Adults and Families
Tuesdays 10 am-2 pm
Get to know your coast! Join MERI researchers and experience Blue Hill Bay’s waters and wildlife first hand. Encounter our local harbor seals on their favorite haul-out ledges. Learn how we track water quality, pollution, algal blooms (red tide), and invasive species in the Bay. Explore the shores of uninhabited islands and see the impacts of marine debris. Have a marine science adventure, hands-on and in real time! For adults and families (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult), $60 for adults, $40 for children 15 and under.

Island Explorers
For Children (ages 6-12)
Wednesdays 10 am-2 pm
Explore the tidepools of a Maine island and meet the inhabitants of the intertidal zone. Encounter seals, porpoises, bald eagles, and ospreys while learning about the intricate food web of Blue Hill Bay. See what comes up when we pull a lobster trap! For children ages 6-12, $40.
